An exciting Service Advisor opportunity with an reputable automotive company based in Essex, salary up to £32,000.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage service and warranty bookings, accurately inputting details onto internal systems

  • Welcome customers, identify service and repair requirements, and coordinate appropriate solutions

  • Promote additional services and accessories to maximise revenue opportunities

  • Ensure profitability across all service work in line with company policies

  • Discuss manufacturer warranty, routine servicing, and repair needs with customers, gathering key information to support workshop diagnostics

  • Issue detailed repair orders to technicians, including all relevant supporting information

  • Monitor progress of service and repair work, ensuring completion within agreed timeframes

  • Communicate promptly with customers regarding any delays or additional work required

  • Ensure all warranty parts are retained and returned in line with manufacturer guidelines

  • Record labour times, materials used, and ensure accurate job card completion and technician sign-off

  • Process customer payments in accordance with company procedures

  • Accurately prepare and cost invoices

  • Maintain up-to-date pricing structures and labour rates

  • Prepare and review warranty job cards, ensuring compliance with warranty policies and procedures

  • Carry out all reception-based administrative duties in line with company standards


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar customer-facing automotive role

  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service

  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, including parts and servicing processes

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to liaise effectively with technicians, customers, and senior management

  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
